Owl Creek Gazette Honored by the Greenville Women's Club with the Hometown Pride Award!

We were truly surprised and so very pleased when we received this letter from the Greenville Women's Club informing us we were recipients of the Hometown Pride Award. The organization recognized our publication for "filling an important gap in the news media, giving an in-depth emphasis to articles about local people and businesses in the area".

Co-Editors and Publishers, Jan and Don Stover, with the
Hometown Pride Award.
The Award is now proudly displayed in their office window at
208 South Second Street in Greenville, IL

We were honored to be among the recipients of this year's Greenville Women's Club Awards. We want to thank the Women's Club and give a mention to the other recipients who were also recognized and pictured here in this photo: (l to r) Don and Jan Stover, owners of Owl Creek Gazette, for Hometown Pride Award; Jeff Leidel, editor of the Greenville Advocate, for Community Appreciation Award; Gayle Wise for Greenville Women's Club Best Member Award; and Greenville Fire Chief Bill Johnston for Community Service Award. Not present were Dan and JoAnne Johnson, owners of Johnson Signs & Designs for Restoration Award.
